Vernacular Languages: Favonian (a Romance language) 51%, Hesperian (a dialect of Greek) 42%, other 7%.
Religion: Catholic 26%, Orthodox 22%, Mithraist 19%, Zoroastrian 5%, Jewish 3%, other 4%, none 21%.
Racial Composition: white 93%, yellow 2%, black 1%, mixed 4%.
Currency Unit: 1 aquila/aetoV = 1 decagram of silver.
Capital City: Lacustrinum, population ca. 750,000.
Subdivisions: 17 provinciae or nomoi.
Heads of Government: Two Consuls and a Tribune.
Legislature: Senatus/Boulh.
History: The United Kingdom of Favonia-Hesperia was formed by the marriage of King Carolus IV of Favonia to Queen Zoê of Hesperia. The kingdom survived several revolts of the Hellenes under various pretenders descended from the old Hesperian monarchical line, and expanded through external wars to the north and west, until it was overthrown by the Revolution that (after a few more decades of turmoil) established the present Republic.

Immigration and Naturalization: F-H welcomes all comers, except the following categories: the feeble-minded, carriers of communicable diseases, criminals, communists, anarchists, Muslims, and Gypsies. Citizenship, however, is more restricted. About 9% of the population are metics, who may not vote or hold public office and must pay a special tax in lieu of the obligation for military service. Citizenship is attained in four ways: (1) birth to citizen parents, (2) marriage to a citizen, (3) adoption by a citizen, (4) service in the Legio externa (Foreign Legion).
